What most of you miss when traveling in Japan is “KAMADO GOHAN.”  It means rice cooked by KAMADO, a traditional Japanese cook stove. Nowadays, it is very difficult to find a house with Kamado because everybody uses electric rice cooker for efficiency and convenience.

In Takayama area, the only place you can see Kamado is Takayama Jinya (http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e5902.html), a historical government office which is now a museum. In traditional lunch experience, you will be able to use Kamado and taste very fresh rice out of it.

Over a year, we have been offering this activity in order to make use of the historical place and found out all Japanese people loved our rice very much.
